Overview

The purpose of the NSPA-SPE-P code list is to define occupations in the context of scholarship eligibility and applications.

Usage

In the Scholarship Exchange, a profession is a career, job, or occupation. In an effort to remain consistent with the level of detail provided in the NSPA Fields of Study list, it may be recommendable to adopt the most recent Standard Occupational Classification System from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (currently the 2018 version). This classification allows for both general occupations and more specific professions to be selectedThe list is updated as specific programs are found that relate different professions.
