Mythbusters
This section is focused on trying to resolve most of the questions and concerns we've had from adopters on how it will affect their application process and programs. While this is not a comprehensive list, it may cover a burning question you have. If not, drop us a note.
We will receive too many applications.
Most partners have a qualification process to apply for their program, and students only import their data after passing the qualification. No adopters have reported an increase in applications due to Scholar Snapp. Scholar Snapp does not change your application process, and you can determine where you want to offer the data import and export for your students that best fits your program.
Our internal technical team is already too busy
Easy adoption is one of the benefits of Scholar Snapp with adoption averaging days, not weeks. We can even do the mapping for you with a copy of your database fields and use Snapp Mapp to quickly map fields to Scholar Snapp. The solution details are fully outlined in a technical documentation site that can likely answer any questions and even has sample code and examples to help shorten developer time. In addition, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation can offer support to cover costs through grants as well.
We use a vendor and they don’t want to do it
Some vendors may be worried that integration will be costly. Scholar Snapp has dedicated technical resources who can work with your vendor to develop a detailed technical plan to ensure the integration is as quick and efficient as possible. The Foundation offers grants to cover time and materials for vendors who are integrating, and it's important to remember that integration can be a competitive advantage for your vendor.
We don’t want to change our software
Great, because Scholar Snapp doesn't change your software. You can keep using your current software, and Scholar Snapp can exchange data regardless of the types of software you use.
Regardless of if you have an internal or external tech team, we will work with you to develop an integration plan that is both cost and time efficient.
