Add an "Open Now" indicator and otherwise distinguish between open and closed application periods
Description
The current UI doesn’t provide a visual distinction between programs that are currently accepting applications and programs that are not. Consider adding one or more visual clues that an application is open.
As examples, some variety of the following may be helpful:
Format the Open Date like “Open Date: Open Now“ or “Open Date: January 15, 2025 (Open Now!)” or similar for programs that are open.
Gray out or otherwise change the color of the green “Go Apply” button for applications that are not currently open. (This doesn’t necessarily mean the link would have to be disabled; the point is just to differentiate visually.)
Change the “Go Apply” button text to something like “Application Closed” or “Coming Soon” depending on the status.
Create a new icon or other visual indicator for open programs.
This is not urgent since the site defaults to show only Open & Coming Soon programs; however, it’ll be very helpful as more application periods close and as we add VoTech/Workforce programs that don’t have a traditional cycle.
