Overview

The purpose of the NSPA-SPE-CTYPE list is to define and standardize values used to describe the academic structure of an institution.

Usage

In the context of the NSPA scholarship program ecosystem, a college type is used to express program requirements about the use of awards. For example, many programs express requirements such as “Awards may be used at any 4-year college in the U.S.” or “Awards may be used at any institution, including technical and trade schools.”
