New Additions
[SSD-3029] – New Search Filters
Show “Other” Values in the system. In many of the Eligibility Criteria sections, we provide a way to add “Other” non-standard values. This new search filter will show all such scholarships
Show “Not Visible”: When scholarships are created in the Exchange, they are not immediately available to clients like College Board. There are many steps taken to ensure it is ready to be shown. “Not Visible” is available to show only such scholarships
[SSD-2757] – Capture Preference criteria
Scholarships have set Eligibility Criteria for students to qualify for a scholarship. These are minimum requirements that has to be met by the student. Some scholarships also preference for certain students. This new feature will now enable NSPA Admins to capture preference criteria in the same structured manner as Eligibility criteria
[SSD-3050] – Reports
New reports are now available for Admins
Broken & Missing URL Report
“Other” Value reports – Shows all “Other” value entered in the system.
API Usage – Shows how the API is being used by our partners. It is useful in scenarios where API cap needs to be enforced
Eligible Scholarships – Shows how many scholarships are being queried against the NSPA Database by our partners. This report will show how many scholarships are being presented to the students and their frequency. It will help in understanding how well the Exchange database is being used or under-used
Improvements
[SSD-3028] Visible to Clients
Scholarships become available to the outside world only when “Visible to Clients” checkbox has been checked. In addition, “Visible to Clients” checkbox is enabled only when status of the scholarships is “Verified” and the date when the record was verified.
SSD-3040] – Add a default line to Blurb section.
Every scholarship is supposed to have a sentence that says “This program is offered through <name of the org>”. Many times NSPA staff will forget to add this sentence. Now any new program added to the Exchange will automatically have this sentence in the scholarship record.
[SSD-3042] – Update to “Graduation Status” Eligibility criteria. New Filters to search for schools.
There are thousands of schools and colleges in US. Many of the school names are similar. In order to get to the exact school entered in the scholarship record, two new filters has been added. One for state and one for school type. This will narrow the number of schools shown in the “School” box as
[SSD-3042] – Changes to Associated Org section
An organization has two properties associated with it. Org Type and Org Role. They are usually defined at the organization level. There was no option to change these properties at the scholarship level. This ticket enables admins to change the information (without effecting a the organization level).
[SSD-3042] to [SSD-3047] – Importing 35 new data elements into Exchange using Excel Spreadsheet
Previously only 12 columns were allowed to be imported using Excel. An additional 35 new columns have been added for admins to import scholarship data into the system through an Excel Spreadsheet. This will help the admins to import data faster in the system. In addition, the eligibility criteria are automatically created for many elements. This is a big time saving for the admin staff.

[SSD-3085] – Changes to Location Eligibility criteria
The county field in this eligibility criteria was a freeform field. As there are thousands of counties in US, it was found that there was no consistency in naming as well as spelling mistakes occurred. This can cause matching issues. In order to prevent mistakes, counties can only be chosen using a drop down. Counties are shown after a state is selected
