Data Center Export
Export Overview
Useful things to know about the Data Center export:
The export lets you download data for all your programs in the NSPA Exchange. The NSPA Data Team proactively enters publicly available data for NSPA member programs — so you may find data already in the system even if you’ve never uploaded data before.
The export will be in Microsoft Excel format. We will support other formats in the future, but Excel seems to be a near-universal option for NSPA members.
The export template is, conveniently, also the import template. This allows you to download existing data, make a bulk change (e.g., to program open dates and deadlines), and upload the edited spreadsheet.
How To Export Data
Step 1. Click Get Data
A Get Data button appears on the home page:
Simply click that button to export your organization’s data.
For convenience, there are also Export buttons sprinkled throughout the Data Center. Here’s an example from the Your Programs page:
Step 2. Save Your File
That’s really it.
Depending on your browser settings, your experience may vary slightly. Typically, the file will be saved to your browser’s default download location (usually the folder called Downloads). It may open automatically after downloading, or you may need to open it from the download location. When you do, you’ll see a spreadsheet, not unlike this:
